The Backstory:
On 8th June 1983, David Bowie performed in front of 60'000 fans at the Hippodrome d’Auteuil in Paris. The show was part of the Serious Moonlight Tour in support of Bowie's album Let's Dance. After the concert, David Bowie celebrated his triumph with Grace Jones.
The tour was Bowie’s longest, largest and most successful concert tour: 16 countries visited, 96 performances, and over 2.6M tickets sold.
