The Backstory:
John McEnroe was born in West Germany in 1959 and grew up in New York City. In March 1980 he became the top-ranked men’s singles tennis player in the world.
It was an easy victory on three sets for John Nc Enroe over Ivan Lendl in the finals of the U.S. Open championship at Flushing Meadows on September, 8th, 1984. In the stands, watching Mc Enroe win the match an pick up is check, were other stars, including Yoko Ono-Lennon with her son and tennis star Billie Jean King.
