The Backstory:
Lady Diana, Princess of Wales, remains one of the most iconic and beloved figures of the 20th century. Her life and legacy continue to captivate people worldwide, even years after her death.
The summer of 1997 represents both a period of Diana’s personal transformation and the tragic end to her life. It marked the last months of her public life, where she had begun to carve out a new path for herself, away from the rigid confines of the royal family.
Diana enjoyed a few sunny days in Saint Tropez with her children Harry and William.
Beautiful pictures of Diana were taken during these (happy) days - pictures that show her laughing and full of lightness (!).
It was also at this time that she met her lover Dodi Fayed. Their romance was unfortunately short-lived, but we hope that Diana enjoyed every moment of this time and that they are still laughing together - wherever they are.
